Abstract:
With rapid technological advancement and successive industrial revolutions, environmental challenges have intensified, sparking widespread concern in recent years. In response, sustainable materials have emerged as a focal point in the effort to develop greener technologies and now stand as a foundational pillar of the Industrial 5.0 revolution. In this report, I will highlight recent progress in the development of advanced materials for sustainable energy production and environmental protection. The talk will focus on innovative material solutions for hydrogen generation, as well as engineered materials that enable the conversion of carbon and nitrogen into high-value products for environmental remediation. Additionally, I will discuss progress in renewable energy harvesting and energy storage technologies. The session will conclude with a forward-looking perspective on future trends in materials development that aim to drive the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient world.
